About oil filters
X-Filtra oil filters for Australian and imported cars, 4WDs and utes: 138 cartridge and 102 spin-on. Each listing shows the makes and models it fits, its dimensions, and the Ryco, Wesfil, MANN and Sakura numbers it matches, so you can search by vehicle or by the number on your old filter. Check the engine as well as the model, because the fitment table can use your engine code. Orders ship from Melbourne.
Spin-on or cartridge?
Your engine takes one type. The vehicle search and each product page show which.
| Type | How it fits | Listed here |
|---|---|---|
| Spin-on | A sealed canister with the filter inside. The whole canister screws on and is replaced. | 102 |
| Cartridge | A filter element that sits in a housing on the engine. Only the element is replaced. | 139 |
Questions and answers
Which X-Filtra oil filter replaces my Ryco, Wesfil, MANN or Sakura number?
Search the number on your old filter. Each listing shows the Ryco, Wesfil, MANN, Sakura and OEM numbers it is listed against. Of our 240 oil filters, 239 show a Ryco number, 238 a Wesfil number, 231 a Sakura number and 197 a MANN number. For example, Ryco Z632 and Wesfil WZ632 are both listed on OXF632, Ryco Z999 on OXF999 and Wesfil WCO286NM on OXF1155. See the Ryco, Wesfil and Sakura cross-reference tables.
How do I find the right oil filter for my vehicle?
Choose your year, make and model in the vehicle search, then read the fitment table on the listing. Where the table shows engine codes, match yours. Our engine code guide shows where to find it. You can also send us your rego, VIN or vehicle details before we dispatch: if we confirm the part and it does not fit, the Fit Guarantee applies.
Spin-on or cartridge: which do I need?
Use the type your vehicle was fitted with. A spin-on filter is a sealed metal canister that screws onto the engine. A cartridge filter is only the filter element, which sits in a housing on the engine. We list 102 spin-on and 138 cartridge oil filters. Each listing names its type.
How often should an oil filter be replaced?
Our oil filter listings state a service interval of 10,000 to 15,000 km or 12 months: 122 listings say 10,000 km or 12 months and 118 say 15,000 km or 12 months. The source is the service interval field on each listing. Your vehicle's logbook or owner's manual sets the interval for your car and takes precedence.
